Telegram channel
Buy or sell a Telegram channel with Soom escrow: money held until delivery, a screen-recorded handover with an agent, then 7-day protection.
On Soom, a Telegram channel is transferred by: Channel ownership transfer and Collectible username transfer via Fragment. Every handover is fully screen-recorded with an escrow agent present, and the money stays held by Soom until the buyer confirms and a 7-day protection period ends.
Channel ownership transfer
- Have 2-step verification on for 7+ days and this device signed in for 24+ hours (Telegram's rule for ownership transfer)
- Add the platform's verification bot as an admin with no rights so the system can check the owner automatically
- Link the buyer's Telegram account with the platform bot (/start) so its ID is known
- Add the buyer as an admin
- Transfer ownership to the buyer (Telegram asks for the 2-step password)
- Automatic check via Bot API: the owner (creator) is now the buyer
- Remove the seller and every seller-controlled admin and bot
- Agent reviews every security page and confirms the handover
- Buyer confirms full control of the account
- Re-prove ownership at every checkpoint of the protection period
Collectible username transfer via Fragment
- Prove the handle: put the verification code in the bio or display name
- Send the collectible username to the buyer's TON wallet on Fragment
- Assign the username to the buyer's account or channel
- Agent reviews every security page and confirms the handover
- Buyer confirms full control of the account
- Re-prove ownership at every checkpoint of the protection period
